Nowadays, there are many churches that use secular music to worship God. The Bible tells us to stay away from worldliness. James 4:4 says that anyone that is a friend of the world is God’s enemy. 1 John 2:15 states that we should not love the worldly things. Anyone who love worldly things don’t have the love of God in him. James 1:27 states that we should keep ourselves away from the world. Many Christians secular band dressed like the secular bands. Secular songs encourage people to behave like the worldly people. As children of light (Ephesians 5:8), we should set a good example for others to follow. The devil is using secular music to lead people away from God.
Ephesians 5:19 says that we should speak to each other with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Psalms refers to the poems in the book of Psalms. The poems in the Book of Psalms is composed by King David and other authors. Hymns are poetic songs written by men and sung at the church. The traditional churches usually sing hymns. Spiritual songs are songs inspired by the Holy Spirit. Secular worship music creates a worldly atmosphere that desecrate the church. It encourage people from the world to come to the church because it has common thing with them. Christians should preach the gospel without compromising to the worldly standards. Worshiping Jesus should be predominant in the church. Secular music does not encourage people to come to the church but it doesn’t encourage godly living in the people. Some Christians are addicted to listening to secular songs. Romans 6:16 tells us to dedicate ourselves as slaves to righteousness and not slaves to sin, which leads to death.
Getting saved is not just believing that Jesus has raised from the dead on the third day. We also have to obey God’s commandment in order to be saved. If you want to learn about God’s commandment, you have to read the Bible. The commandments in the Old Testament and New Testament must be obeyed. Some Christians say that there is no need to follow the commandments in the Old Testament because the old covenant is no longer in effect after Christ’s death. This is not true. By believing in Jesus, we get saved. The old covenant emphasizes works and obedience to do the commandments but the new covenant emphasizes putting faith in Jesus to be saved. If you are a Christian, you must carry your cross so that you are worthy to be called Jesus’ disciple.
Christians should listen to worship songs instead of secular songs by celebrity artists such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Backstreet Boys, Boyz II Men, Usher, Rihanna and 50 Cent. Many secular songs emphasize negative themes such as sex, drugs, murder and etc. Romans 6:13 states that we should use each of our body parts for God. Everyday, you should spend some time to worship and pray to God. You can use the worship songs book your church provides to sings praises to God. You can go to YouTube and find lyrics of worship songs and print them out with your printer. There are many lyrics websites that provide free lyrics for Christian music.

What is life without a little music? Well it is for the music lovers to say. Music is such an integral part of our lives that it comes naturally to us. We keep humming some tune from the recent movie we saw or some song our friend introduced us to. Music is inevitable for us. But how many times have we wondered as to what has gone into making that piece of music. Music production is one of the most common businesses because music is something everybody likes be it any language, any region or any religion. We see new albums being released on a daily basis. New starts coming up and new singers all around the world. But the main people behind the amazing music that we hear are the composers who imagine how the whole song should be sung and how we should hear it. Then there are record producers who manage and oversee the whole thing when the singer is singing in the studio and the music is being recorded. A conscious effort of the record producer, composer and lyricist makes it possible for the music production to reach the stores and from there reach us. There are many music production courses as well as sound engineering courses designed to train upcoming consumers in this field. A music producer oversees the creation of music in a studio. He is comparable to a film director, what a film director does with the actors, the music producer does with the singers and the music. Music production is not easy and thus proper training is required and music should be a natural talent for that person because there can be no way a person can produce music without being in love with it, or without being passionate about it. These days a lot of technology also goes into creation of music. Today music production is not just the singer singing and some instruments being played at the background. With the latest technology available it is very easy for producers to achieve high quality tracks. Music production, thus, today is much more complicated than it used to be but at the same time has become more easy to generate new tunes than it used to be. Be it Rihanna, be it Britney Spears, or be it Enrique, all of them need a good music production as much as a good music producer needs good singers like them.
